SOLARWATT Home: solar, battery and EV charging as one system
SOLARWATT Home brings SOLARWATT panels, inverter, battery, EV charger and energy manager together, designed to work as one. We design, install and support it across Northern Ireland.
Solar Power NI has partnered with SOLARWATT since 2010.
Four parts of the SOLARWATT Home system
Each part works on its own, but SOLARWATT Home is designed so they work together, controlled in one app.
SOLARWATT solar panels
Vision glass-glass and Classic glass-foil panels form the core of the system.

SOLARWATT Manager flex
Energy management that decides where your solar power goes, automatically or to your settings.
About Manager flex →SOLARWATT Battery vision
Battery vision stores the solar power you don't use during the day, so you can use it in the evening instead of buying electricity back.
- Stackable modules, so capacity can match your home
- Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, with design and cell selection in cooperation with BMW
- IP65-rated housing for indoor or outdoor installation
- Backup power: switches over automatically in under 20 milliseconds in a power cut
- Works as AC or DC, so it suits new systems and add-ons to existing solar
Battery vision works with the SOLARWATT Inverter vision and carries a guarantee of up to 10 years (pv magazine). The newer Battery vision 2.0, launched for the UK and Ireland in 2026, uses 4.3 kWh modules for 8.6 to 25.9 kWh of usable storage per battery tower (SOLARWATT).

One system that decides where your solar power goes
The SOLARWATT Inverter vision converts your solar power for use in the home and connects the battery. The Manager flex then directs that power where it's most useful: into the home, the battery or your car.
- Charge your EV from your own solar with the Charger vision
- Top up the car to a set mileage, or use only spare solar
- Manager flex can also integrate a compatible heat pump
- Monitor and control the whole system in the SOLARWATT app

SOLARWATT Home FAQs
What is SOLARWATT Home?
SOLARWATT Home is SOLARWATT's complete home energy system: solar panels, Inverter vision, Battery vision, Charger vision and the Manager flex energy manager, designed to work together.
Can I add a SOLARWATT battery to my existing solar panels?
Often, yes. Battery vision can be installed as an AC or DC battery, so it suits both new systems and retrofits. It works with the SOLARWATT Inverter vision, so we check your existing setup at survey.
Does SOLARWATT Battery vision work in a power cut?
Yes. With the SOLARWATT inverter it provides backup power, switching over automatically in under 20 milliseconds. Backup is single-phase and 3 to 6 kW depending on the inverter, so it powers essential circuits rather than everything at once.
Is there VAT on home batteries?
Home battery installations in Northern Ireland currently have 0% VAT until 31 March 2027, including batteries added to existing solar.
